We are are so excited to announce the LCFA Calf Scramble is BACK!! One of the most exciting and heart pumping events is here to stay! With 4-H and FFA Members, along with calves darting across the arena in every direction, it is easy to say that the calf scramble is one of the favorite events held at the Limestone County Fair.
The calf scramble helps 4-H and FFA youth gain valuable experiences in the livestock industry and is the heart of the purpose of the scramble. Yes there will be hooting and hollering but it is so much more than just an event, its an investment into the future of the youth of Limestone County. The winners are the kids who catch and will be issued a $500 certificate to be used for the purchase of a haltered heifer, pen of 2 commercial heifers, market steer, swine, goat, or lamb. Haltered heifers may be purchased from any breeder. Scramble animals will be the contestant’s 4-H/FFA project in the next Limestone County Fair and Youth Livestock Show.
